W dniach 25 - 26 września 2014 r. w Warszawie odbyła się VIII Międzynarodowa Konferencja "Bezpieczeństwo dzieci i młodzieży w Internecie". Organizatorami byli: Polskie Centrum Programu Safer Internet, Fundacja Dzieci Niczyje,  Naukowa i Akademicka Sieć Komputerowa (NASK) oraz Niemieckie Centrum Awareness klicksafe. Głównym Partnerem  organizatorów jest Fundacja Orange. Celem Konferencji było promowanie działań prowadzonych na rzecz bezpiecznego korzystania z nowych technologii i Internetu wśród dzieci i młodzieży: zwalczanie nielegalnych treści i spamu.

Laptop dla każdego ucznia, podręczniki on-line, prace pisemne z polskiego i matematyki przesyłane mailem. Czy to droga do lepszej edukacji? Doświadczenie stanów zjednoczonych, w których laptopy weszły do szkół dekadę temu, pokazuje, że niekoniecznie.
