Projekt "Chemia-Chemistry" - Europejska Odznaka Jakości eTwinning

Miło nam poinformować, że nasza szkoła otrzymała Europejską Odznakę Jakości eTwinning za wspaniałą pracę w projekcie eTwinning "Chemia Chemistry". Oznacza to, że praca dwóch nauczycielek naszej szkoły: pani Beaty Gregorczyk i pani Renaty Kowalskiej-Gajewskiej oraz praca naszych uczniów została oceniona jako reprezentująca najwyższy europejski poziom. W związku z tym naszemu projektowi przyznano wyjątkowy certyfikat świadczący o wysokiej jakości projektu. Ponadto, wspomniany projekt zostanie zaprezentowany w specjalnym miejscu na Europejskim Portalu www.etwinning.net.

W europejskim konkursie eTwinning 2013 zostało nagrodzonych sześć projektów realizowanych w polskich szkołach. W kategorii "Debiuty" zwyciężył projekt Chemia-Chemistry realizowany w klasach dwujęzycznych przez panią Beatę Gregorczyk oraz panią Renatę Kowalską-Gajewską.

„Poznaj Amerykę” – Wizyta w Ambasadzie USA

18 grudnia, uczniowie klas trzecich odbyli wycieczkę do Ambasady USA w Warszawie. Była to już druga nasza wizyta w ramach programu „Poznaj Amerykę”, dzięki któremu poznajemy specyfikę pracy amerykańskiej placówki dyplomatycznej na terenie Polski.

W czwartek, 22 listopada 2012 uczniowie klasy 3b, pod opieką pani Marty Kalety uczestniczyli w lekcji kulturowej w siedzibie Amerykańskiego Centrum Kultury i Informacji – American Corner Radom. Uczestnicy zajęć zostali ogromnie zainspirowani możliwościami jakie dają zasoby biblioteczne Centrum. Po zakończeniu zajęć uczniowie uzyskali karty biblioteczne, które z pewnością będą wykorzystywali regularnie.

We wtorek 6 listopada 2012 r. w naszej szkole odbył się Election Day – Dzień Wyborów Prezydenckich w USA. Z tej okazji odwiedzili nas dyplomaci z Ambasady Amerykańskiej w Warszawie – Jennifer Young i Mike Rogalski. Podczas ich wizyty uczniowie wysłuchali wykładu w języku angielskim dzięki czemu zgłębili swoją wiedzę na temat systemu wyborów prezydenckich w Stanach Zjednoczonych oraz lepiej poznali sylwetki Baracka Obamy i Mitta Romneya. Po wykładzie uczniowie chętnie korzystali z szansy rozmowy w ojczystym języku gości zadając im pytania nie tylko związane z tematyką wykładu, ale również z innymi aspektami życia w Stanach Zjednoczonych.

W dniu 23 kwietnia w naszym gimnazjum odbył się kolejny wykład z cyklu „Poznaj Amerykę”. Prelegentem był Frankie Sturm, zastępca attache kulturalnego z Ambasady Amerykańskiej w Warszawie, który przybliżył uczniom genezę powstania muzyki jazzowej. Używając niekonwencjonalnych metod wykładowczych, nasz gość zaktywizował całą publiczność do tworzenia muzyki na żywo. Podłoga, krzesła, długopisy, zeszyty posłużyły jako instrumenty muzyczne. Profesjonalizm i entuzjazm „dyrygenta” spowodował niepowtarzalną szansę nauki języka angielskiego w atmosferze zabawy.
